ASA : Patient Advocates Accuse Obama of Hypocritical, Aggressive Policy on Medical Marijuana.

Obama and the Dept. of Justice (DOJ)  are cracking down and will be trying to shut down ALL of California’s collectives…..they are sending letters to dispensaries telling them they have 45 days to shut down and they are using old Bush-era tactics by threatening property owners who rent to medical cannabis tenants with criminal prosecution and civil asset forfeiture! The MMJ community will not go down without a fight.  Steve De Angelo, Executive Director of Harborside Health Center has stated that they will not close down until the feds lock the doors, and that they will pick the locks!  I am posting a link that maybe you can help spread the word! RAND Corporation says dispensaries don’t cause crime.

Law enforcement and policymakers commonly use this argument against cannabis dispensaries “they increase crime, and bring a bad element into the neighborhood.”  This study just released by RAND Corporation actually proves opposite to that belief.  Neighborhoods are actually SAFER when there is a cannabis dispensary/collective association located in the neighborhood.  READ MORE……

Hemp grown in Central California is more than a possibility!

Senate Bill 676 would allow the definition of marijuana to exclude industrial hemp. The bill has already passed several committee’s and is expected to be signed by Governor Jerry Brown in September. The Hemp Shack got a chance to show off some of the hemp products that are available in our store. If the bill passes, counties such as Kern, Kings, Yolo, San Joaquin, and Imperial will be able to grow industrial hemp hopefully making it more affordable than imported hemp from Canada and Hungary.
